APPLICATION PROCESS

Below are the steps in securing a Philippine Passport.

  • Secure an appointment schedule for your passport application. This can be done in two ways:
  • If you were able to secure an appointment for your passport processing over the phone
    • Use the link that was given to you by the Customer Care Officer/Representative to print your passport application form in a long bond paper. Before you can print the form, you will be asked to provide the following:
      • Appointment Reference Number
      • Print Code
      • First Name (If you have auxiliary name like Jr, you need to include the dot ".")
      • Middle Name
      • Last Name
  • If you were able to secure an appointment for your passport processing online
    • You need to click on the confirmation link to confirm your appointment.
    • Print the passport application form from the confirmation link that was sent to your email account.
    • From the email message, take note of
      • your passport reference number, and
      • the date & time of your scheduled passport appointment.
  • Prepare all the necessary documentary requirements. Have duplicate copies (2) of your documents ready before you go to DFA.
On your appointment date:
  • Important:
    • Your have to wear dress with collar and sleeves (both for male and female)
    • Applicants wearing slippers and/or shorts will not be allowed to enter the premises
  • Double check if you have a complete set of requirements, together with photocopies of it.
  • Go to the DFA Consular Office located at
    • ASEANA Business Park, Bradco Avenue corner Macapagal Boulevard, Paranaque City. If you are commuting, you can take the bus that passes by SM Mall of Asia (MOA) and Macapagal Blvd.
  • You need to be at DFA within 30 minutes from the time of your appointment. You will not be entertained on the following circumstances:
    • You arrived later than your scheduled appointment
    • You want to enter the gate earlier than 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment. You will only be allowed to enter the gate within 30 minutes from the time of your appointment.
  • Present your printed application form to the Appointment Counter/Desk and secure a queue/priority number.
  • You may take a sit at the designated waiting section while waiting for your queue number to be called.
  • Go to the processing window (indicated in the queue monitor) once your number is called and have your documents evaluated. You will be asked to sign the application form that you printed.
  • Proceed to the Passport Enrollment Section on the 2nd Floor and pay the applicable passport processing fee.
    • Regular Processing - Around 25 business days; Processing fee of PhP 950.00
    • Expedite Processing - Around 15 business days; Processing fee of PhP 1,200.00
  • Go to Encoding Section for data capture. Once done, do not forget to ask the personnel about the date of release of your passport.
