Here are the things that you need to know before securing a passport appointment online.

First, you need to have an active email account and a mobile phone number. If you do not have an email account, please create one before accomplishing the online form. Your appointment reference number and a link to print your application form will be sent to your email address. Please print the application form and bring it with you, together with all the other requirements, when you go DFA.

Second, you will be asked to decide on two things:

• If you want  the processing of your passport be expedited or just the regular processing
• Regular - Around 25 business days; Processing fee of PhP 950.00
• Rush - Around 15 business days; Processing fee of PhP 1,200.00
• If you want your passport to be delivered to your address or not
• Pickup - No additional fee but you need to go back to DFA to get your passport
• Deliver - Your passport will be delivered to your address but you have to pay an extra charge

Third, you need to accomplish the online form accurately and truthfully so that you will not have any problem with your passport in the future. You need to be very diligent in supplying the vital information required. Though some are self explanatory, we suggest that you go over each and every line item to avoid possible errors.
